Okay I need to vent my hipster anger.
And fuck you yes I am butthurt about this.
The fact that The Avengers now has a fanbase comparable to Harry Potter/Doctor Who/Sherlock annoys the shit out of me. My entire dash is fucking overflowed with .gifs of Chris Evans/Tom Hiddleston/Downey Jr./Hemsworth being hot. They’re hot. I get it. They’ve also done other movies besides Avengers. Hiddleston, in fact, is a brilliant Shakespearean actor, quite famous in england for his Hamlet. Robert Downey Jr. is famous for his Charlie Chaplin movie in the 90’s which is how he got big.
Yes, Avengers was a good movie, and I am very proud of Joss Whedon for finally making it Huge.
But Firefly/Serenity, and most of Joss’ other stuff does not even compare to Avengers.
The people I have been seeing tend to completely ignore the comic book/lore side o avengers and just stick to how cute and hot the actors are. Fuck you.
Next time I hear someone cream themselves about how “good” Avengers was I am going to break their fucking legs.
